Catalina Duta

I received my BSc in Psychology from the University of Sussex in 2015. Following my internship and thesis on early-life stress and neurosynthesis in the rodent brain, I wanted to dive deeper into the fundamental neural mechanisms modulating behaviour and function in the human brain. Thus, I pursued a Research Master in Fundamental Neuroscience at Maastricht University until 2019. My main focus was on the effects of acute stress on dopaminergic regulation in corticostriatal circuits, while also investigating the formation of goal-directed and habitual behaviour using fMRI. This interest stems from my psychology degree and was broadened during my masters in neuroscience. Since April 2021 I am pursuing an interdisciplinary PhD in Psychology and Medical Sciences at Vrije Universiteit Brussel. I am researching the cognitive aspects of sequential learning in the cerebellum using tDCS and fMRI.
