Research

My research involves the minimal conditions for mentalizing. We want to investigate how the mentalizing system has developed a goal-inference capacity, independently from the mirror system. We do this by exploring the minimal conditions for mentalizing while observing goal-directed actions performed by objects. We are focusing on the temporo-parietal junction as the major brain area that is involved in this process.
